Faculty of Humanities organized the decision of the Academic Council of Tselinograd Agricultural Institute in 1990.
Faculty's mission - to promote the formation of a fully developed, harmonious personality of future specialists studying in KATU them. S.Seifullin through the teaching of the humanities.
Faculty functions - teaching the humanities, which have a special place in the education of professionals with a philosophical outlook, knowing the history of their people, respecting their traditions and customs, multi-lingual.
Teaching staff of the Faculty of Humanities comprises 63 highly qualified specialists, including 7 doctors of sciences, 31 candidates of sciences, 1 PhD, 23 Masters. 6 teachers are graduates of "Bolashak" program, 2 teacher holder of the title "The best teacher of high school", 5 awarded various departmental awards and diplomas, 4 teachers conduct classes in English.
To ensure the educational process and research at the faculty are 2 laboratories, 2 computer labs. Research conducted on prospective issues of social and human sciences. The Faculty cooperates with the Western Michigan University, USA.

Since 2019, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities is the candidate of philogical sciences, Ayapbergenov Bulat Kabidenovich.
Currently, the Faculty of Humanities is known for its qualified scientific and pedagogical staff. The faculty employs over 65 years of teachers, including 4 doctors of sciences, 26 candidates of sciences, 33 Masters.
The department is focused on quality training agribusiness professionals, extension of research activities, the introduction of information technology innovation in the learning process. Faculty actively educational and methodical, scientific research, educational activities. In the development of the Faculty developed its traditions: the teachers hold annual public lectures for students on the Day of the Constitution, the annual Message of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev to people of Kazakhstan, themed festivals, dedicated to the Week of languages, scientific student conferences, meetings of the Association of philosophers Astana.
The implementation of moral education is carried out in several ways:
- Cultural and historical (on the basis of examples of national history and culture);
- Moral and aesthetic (in the context of teachings about man and society, the purpose of his life, the moral values of the world's traditional religions, promoting healthy lifestyles);
-etnokulturnom (based on a study of the state and Russian languages, national traditions).
