Aims and tasks of the project

Aim of the project - modernization of curricula in the field of precision agriculture using new technologies - Geographic Information System / GIS, big data, remote sensing - by analyzing and updating existing curricula in accordance with educational needs; to develop new certified curricula in line with new achievements, labor market requirements and the Bologna process; testing innovative curricula and disseminating results.

The NICOPA Consortium consists of 16 partners and 4 associated partners with the necessary experience, educational skills and business connections.

Expected results:

  • Review of current curricula in the field of precision agriculture through analysis, the “Agreement on learning strategies and guidelines for the development of undergraduate / graduate programs, including the use of new educational technologies”
  • A set of new basic curricula and translation modules, including innovative educational institutions “Updated current two-tier curricula in the field of precision farming in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna process and new developments”
  • Developed, implemented and accredited new practical-oriented, student-oriented basic and transferable curricula, including ECTS;
  • The approach of higher education institutions to the labor market. In addition, an innovative training base: a new equipped PAL laboratory, a VCR class (virtual classroom), precision farming using the data from the Office  PASO sensing data. The focus on the content, the agreed structure, the new educational strategy and the use of new educational technologies in relation to the European program for the modernization of higher education will generally function as the intended effect. The formations will generally function as an intended impact.
