Rating of educational programmes of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan for 2025

Azamat Beisenbenov, Director of the Department of Human Capital Development of Atameken NPP Azamat Beisenbenov recently spoke at the presentation of the results of the rating of educational programmes of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan for 2025.

‘The rating of universities is compiled to assess the educational programmes of educational institutions to provide information to applicants, their parents, employers and educational institutions. This year's ranking takes into account 2,051 educational programmes, which were assessed according to key criteria such as career prospects of graduates, quality of educational programmes, student achievements and overall performance of higher education institutions. More than 100 industry experts took part in compiling the rating, which ensured its objectivity and reliability,’ Azamat Beisenbenov emphasised.

As for our university this year 34 educational programmes were included in the rating. Of them:

18 programmes (52.94 %) were included in the top 3 best in the country;

22 programmes (64,7 %) took places in TOP-5;

29 programmes (85,29 %) got into TOP-10.

Over the last 3 years, the proportion of programmes in the top 3 has increased from 13.8% (in 2022) to 52.94 % (in 2024).

If we compare with previous years, we can see a steady increase in the quality of our programmes.

Ranking achievements in 2025:

In 1st place - 10 (Biotechnology, Architecture, Cadastre, Agronomy, Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Phytosanitary safety, Aquaculture and aquatic bioresources, Food safety, Agroengineering, Technological Machinery and Equipment);

In the 2nd place - 4 (Food Technology, Hunting and Fur farming, Veterinary Safety, Land Management);

In 3rd place - 4 (Electric Power Engineering, Geodesy and Cartography, Landscape Design and Gardening, Heat gas supply, ventilation and environmental engineering in agriculture).

These results emphasise the leadership of our university in the field of education and testify to our constant endeavour to reach new heights in the quality of specialist training.
