On September 1, 2025, a delegation from the AGH University of Science and Technology (Kraków, Poland) paid an official visit to the Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University (KATRU). The event took place in the Big Data classroom of the Technical Faculty.

The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic cooperation, exchange scientific experience, and explore future joint research projects in the fields of engineering, materials science, and information technologies.

Rector of KATRU, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Maratovich Tireuov, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech:

“Dear professors and colleagues from the AGH University! Our university values your experience and scientific achievements. This visit is a significant step toward establishing a long-term partnership between our academic communities”, said Rector Tireuov.

Professor Jacek Cieslik, AGH coordinator for cooperation with Central Asian universities, also addressed the audience:

“Our goal is to expand the boundaries of science and education. Cooperation between Polish and Kazakh universities should be based not only on research, but also on cultural exchange and mutual respect. Today’s meeting marks a meaningful step in that direction,”- said Professor Cieslik.

Following his remarks, Professor Agnieszka Kopia added:

“We are eager to share our expertise in surface engineering, nanomaterials, and advanced manufacturing technologies. I am confident that our collaboration with KATRU will bring mutual benefit and inspire innovative research projects.”

The Polish delegation presented several scientific topics, including:

Development of medical devices using Powder Bed Fusion technology with polyamide PA12;

Design of heat-resistant casting alloys based on nickel for aerospace applications;

Scientific activities and research opportunities at AGH.

The event concluded with mutual discussions on future collaborations and a commemorative group photo.
