Today, Kanat Tireuov, Chairman of the Board of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, summarized the results of his working visit to Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Moscow and gave several instructions to the administrative structure of our university.

In addition to the Chairman of the Board, all the members of the delegation who had visited the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) took part in the meeting. The members of the delegation expressed their views on the possibilities for joint work with this university.

“I decided to meet with you today to talk about future projects and cooperation with Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. One of the mechanisms for moving forward and developing the field of education, science and our university as a whole is to develop by the best examples.” said Kanat Tireuov.

Kanat Maratovich was happy to state that the targeted ideas expressed about the dual degree project by harmonizing the educational program of the two universities had yielded positive results. In addition, Scopus stated the need to develop Q1 level scientific journals, prepare the project “Administrative University, University for Management” as well as the creation of a special garden and park structure based on the direction of science and education. “This park should be optimal for people, suitable for recreation and comfortable for the soul. We have to create such a park project. We have been to such a special park in Moscow. The park was designed by the Department of Architecture and Design of the Agrarian and Technological Institute of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. We also have the potential and opportunity to create such high-level projects. We have to take up the park construction project today.” said Kanat Maratovich, Chairman of the Board.

The Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy, PhD, Professor G. Zh. Stybaev, who was part of the delegation, noted that agreements have been concluded with the Biotechnology department for educational programs on a dual-degree basis. “The opportunities at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) are enormous. One example is that almost all master students work on research projects. This is very important. We have agreed to publish a joint scientific publication based on two identical research projects.” he said.

The dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, Ph.D. in Agriculture, Associate Professor D.N. Sarsekova voiced the following themes. “They have made tremendous progress in the Landscape Design area. We saw how much work we have to do in this area and how projects can be developed and completed successfully. We have agreed on a two-degree degree in the aforementioned field. We have also agreed to develop bilateral joint projects on the smart city and green buildings. We have a great deal to learn from each other. There is fruitful work ahead of us in the future.” she concluded.

Also, Zh.S. Zhurgenov, Deputy Director of the Department for Academic Affairs said: “It seems that we have fully achieved our goals. The two-degree education project will be implemented on the basis of three identical educational programmes. This is our main victory. We have also negotiated in the field of veterinary medicine. I think that in the near future we will start training master's students in this field. In general, the following party is especially interested in working with our university. We should not miss the opportunity. In addition, I think it should be noted that there are several agreements on the issue of creating an authorship team to write scientific articles jointly by scientists from both educational institutions, the organisation of professional development and advanced training courses, and student exchange areas.”

The Director of the Department of International Relations, S.A. Meiramova further emphasized that the trip was very productive, especially for the Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, Faculty of Land Management, Architecture and Design. Large projects will be created with the named faculties in the future. “Thanks to Kanat Maratovich’s excellent communication skills we have made all our dreams come true. For us it is like crossing a big milestone.” said S.A. Meiramova.

At the end of the meeting, Kanat Maratovich, Chairman of the Board of the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, instructed to develop a work plan together with the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.

At the same time, in September 2023, the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University (KATRU) and the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) will hold a joint forum on the topic “Food Safety” in Astana. Noting that the level of this forum is very extensive, the Chairman of the Board, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Maratovich Tireuov instructed to begin preparations now.
