On 14 September, as part of the state visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Korea and ahead of the First Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit, a delegation of Seifullin University, which is part of the National Agrarian Science and Education Center, visited Jeonbuk National University (JBNU).
The Seifullin University delegation was headed by Chairman of the Management Board – Rector Kanat Tireuov. During the meeting with the university leadership and representatives of the JBNU Office of International Affairs, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in education, research, and academic mobility.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of an Agreement on Student Academic Mobility. The document opens new opportunities for students of both universities to study through academic exchange programs, participate in educational and research initiatives, and gain international academic experience.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint educational and research projects, the expansion of student and faculty exchanges, as well as the establishment of direct links between the faculties of the two universities.
As part of the visit, the delegation also familiarized itself with JBNU’s modern infrastructure, including the Central Library, Han Seung-won Library, AI SPACE, and Sky Lounge.
The signed agreement will provide a practical foundation for expanding academic mobility and strengthening the long-term partnership between Seifullin University and Jeonbuk National University, while contributing to the development of educational and scientific ties between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
