By order of the Chairman of the Board of the NJSC Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University – Rector, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Maratovich Tireuov, a classroom for practical courses in Kazakh and Russian languages, equipped with modern digital educational resources, was opened on the eve of the 153rd anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, scholar, educator, Turkologist, publicist, translator, and one of the prominent representatives of the Alash intelligentsia, Akhmet Baitursynuly, as well as the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the modern digital classroom is to foster students’ learning culture and develop their digital competence through the effective use of digital tools in the educational process. In this regard, scientific works of scholars and textbooks are being introduced via QR codes to demonstrate the advantages of modern digital technologies and to expand practical methods of their application in education.
Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, poet Rinat Rifatuly Zaitov, was invited to the opening ceremony of the digital classroom. The event was also attended by university faculty members, students, and representatives of the media.
The Director of the Institute of Humanities and Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor Zh. T. Kulzhanova, and the Head of the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor A. Sh. Tleulesova, highlighted the unique features of this classroom, emphasizing that each publication is provided with its own QR code. By simply pointing a phone camera at the code, an electronic version of the book immediately opens.
During lessons, students and teachers can review the content and even complete assignments together directly in class. This is both highly convenient and modern!
