Meeting with the delegation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe "Strategy for International Cooperation in Science, Technology and International Transfer of Technologies: Policy and Practice"

     On October 28, 2014, the JSC "Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S.Seifullin" met with the delegation of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe to develop a strategy for international cooperation in science, technology and international technology transfer. This strategy will set clear targets for international scientific and technical cooperation and trade as one of the most important factors in the development of technology, as well as attracting foreign direct investment, providing access to the latest technologies and the development of integration processes.

   Representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe attended the event: Mr. Malkom Parry, Director of the Surrey Research Park, one of the founders of the UKSPA, and currently holds the presidency; Ralf Heinrich, Head of the Innovation Policy Development Section of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Mr. Shalabayev Т.М. - Director of the Center for International Cooperation of JSC "NATR", as well as the University teaching staff. Speakers presented the experience of technology transfer process at Surrey Research University, incl. in the research park, as well as an overview of Kazakhstan's innovative development conducted by a group of national and international experts with the participation of UNECE staff.
