The INFORM-2008 Republican students Olympiad on computer science has been held from March 24 till March, 27 on the basis of Karaganda State Technical University. 25 teams (52 students) from 21 high sc The INFORM-2008 Republican students Olympiad on computer science has been held from March 24 till March, 27 on the basis of Karaganda State Technical University. 25 teams (52 students) from 21 high schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan have taken part in it. Dzhan Michael and Damir Urazov from Group 17, Computer Engineering were the participants of KazAU.
There were two stages of the Olympiad. Five tasks were given to be solved on each level. Team results were accounting in the sum of points, every participant of the team got their points separately for two days of competition.

KazAU team received 91 points and won the 8 place in the team work. In personal results Dzhan Michael has taken the 13 place, and Damir Urazov - the 29 place. It is necessary to note, that our team was the youngest one (the first-year students). Dzhan Michael and Damir Urazov have been awarded with the diploma for the creative approach to problem solution.
