On April 11, 2025, teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages Kosmaganbetova G. K., Khamzina Z.B. held an event on the topic "Fighting corruption and creating a culture of honesty in society."
The guest of the event, D.S. Aitbayev, a consultant lawyer at the Astana Chamber of Legal Advisers, spoke about the concept of corruption, its types, consequences, as well as measures to combat and prevent it. D.S. Aitbayev emphasized the importance of creating a culture of honesty in society and effective mechanisms to combat corruption.
Within the framework of the event, a debate was organized among students of the Technical Faculty on the topic "Which is more effective in combating corruption: tougher penalties or the formation of a culture of honesty in society?". The students shared their opinions, divided into two groups. One group advocated for increased punishment, while the other argued for the importance of fostering a culture of honesty. The debates were intense and fascinating, with participants giving examples from world practice and philosophical views.
Following the results of the event, the students came to the conclusion that an effective fight against corruption requires an integrated approach combining both tougher penalties and fostering honesty and responsibility in society.
This event helped students to develop critical thinking and active citizenship in the fight against corruption. Young people are ready to actively participate in the creation of an honest and fair society and community!
