Educational and Methodical work

Educational and methodological work is a core part of the University’s academic activities. It ensures high-quality education and prepares graduates who are competitive and in demand in today’s global and digitally-driven labor market.

At NJSC S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University, these activities focus on continuously updating academic programs, enhancing teaching methodologies, and integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) into the learning process.

Key areas include:

  • Development and regular updating of curricula and course syllabi.
  • Creation of modern teaching materials and assessment tools for students.
  • Implementation of AI-driven and digital solutions, such as adaptive learning platforms, online courses, video lectures, virtual laboratories, computer-based testing, and personalized learning pathways.
  • Support for faculty in delivering innovative and interactive teaching, both online and in-person.

AI and digital technologies are applied to enhance teaching, analyze student performance, ensure fair and objective assessment, and improve overall academic quality.

Another important focus is the development of a robust regulatory and methodological framework, ensuring that academic programs comply with national standards while meeting international digital education benchmarks.

Academic policies — including curriculum development, quality assurance, governance, and faculty management — are overseen by the University Academic Council, in line with the University Charter and internal regulations.

Educational and methodological work is guided by:

  • National regulations and standards of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
  • University orders and internal policies.
  • Recommendations and decisions of the University Academic Council and Scientific Council.
  • The annual University work plan.

Information and methodological support

Educational and methodological activities at the University are carried out under the supervision of the Center for Educational Program Management within the Department for Academic Affairs.

The Department for Academic Affairs is a structural unit of the University responsible for managing and coordinating the educational process.

Its main responsibilities include planning, organizing, and providing information-methodological support for the educational process; creating digital educational video content; managing student admissions and enrollment; organizing practical training and supporting student employment; providing administrative and advisory services related to academic activities; and handling student registration and certification.

Key tasks and functions:

  • Forming the committees of the University Academic Council, including:

Committee on Academic Quality

Committee on Teaching, Methodology, and Information Technologies

Committee on Academic Integrity

  • Organizing and coordinating the work of the Academic Council committees and the Institutes’ Council on Academic Quality
  • Planning, organizing, and monitoring the publication of educational and methodological materials, including the University’s annual publishing plan
  • Monitoring faculty content completion in Electronic Educational and Methodological Complexes (EEMC)
  • Organizing and conducting scientific-methodological conferences, teaching seminars, and online courses related to academic activities
  • Providing methodological support to faculty in delivering open classes, promoting best practices, and implementing innovative teaching technologies in both offline and online formats
  • Coordinating internal University commissions, including:

  • Administering software tools for monitoring and controlling the educational process (e.g., Anti-Plagiarism systems)
  • Coordinating and supervising the recording of faculty video lectures in the digital studio
  • Organizing the design and development of electronic educational resources and digital content for academic disciplines
  • Developing internal regulatory documents related to educational and methodological work
