Since 2023, the university has revived the student mechanized unit as part of the production practice. The practice is conducted at «Shakhterskoye» LLP and «Agrofirma TNK» LLP, where students have the opportunity to apply their practical skills in real production conditions. Every year, up to 50 third- and fourth-year students enrolled in the 6B08701 Agroengineering educational program participate in spring and autumn fieldwork.

During the practice period, students are employed as assistant machine operators with a fixed salary. Experienced employees of the company are appointed as mentors 

Dual education is a form of implementing higher and postgraduate professional education programs, based on the collaboration between universities and companies that have the necessary resources for practical training of students.

The goal of dual education is to develop students' practical skills in a production environment and to ensure a high-quality mastery of professional competencies in line with the content of educational programs. In the current academic year, the departments of KATIU named after S. Seifullin plan to introduce elements of dual education in more than 100 disciplines.

The university is also considering the preparation of specialists through the "2.5+1+0.5" program, where 2.5 years of study will be conducted in the traditional format, 1 year of study will take place in a production environment (dual education and professional internships), and 0.5 years will be dedicated to final certification. This organization of education will allow students to spend more time in production environments, contributing to the development of their professional skills, adaptation to the workplace, and increasing the chances of employment at the company after graduation.

During the monitoring of the implementation of dual education in our university's educational programs, it was revealed that students themselves are interested in this format of practical training, which links theoretical learning with practical work. Companies create all the necessary conditions for students, providing experienced mentors, equipment, and teaching materials.

Long-term practical training in agricultural specialties plays an important role in the professional development of students. It is not just an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained at the educational institution in practice, but also a valuable life experience that shapes the personal and professional qualities of a future specialist.

All bachelor’s degree educational programs include academic, industrial, and pre-graduation internships.

According to the academic process schedule, the total number of students undertaking internships lasting more than one month is 13,675.

For master’s and doctoral educational programs, this number is 666.

According to the schedule of the educational process, students in the fields of "Veterinary Medicine" and "Engineering and Technology" undergo practical training during their vacations. If the practical training contracts are concluded with enterprises in the city of Astana, the university provides a place on the Campus for all students who have arrived from the regions and have expressed their desire. There are approximately 50 such students.

A modern university plays a key role in the formation of professional personnel and the promotion of their successful employment.
