Biography

Born on June 12, 1963 in the city of Frunze (now Bishkek).

1984 - graduated from the State Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner from the Institute of Physical Culture named after P.F. Lesgaft  in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), specializing in track and field athletics coach.

1984-1992 - worked at the Department of Physical Education at the Tomsk Institute of Automated Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TIASUR)

1992-2014 - Head of the Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy of the Karaganda State Medical University (KSMU).

2014-2018 - Head of the Sports Club of KSMU.

Since 2021 - Head of the Sports Club of KATU named after S. Seifullin

Every year, the sports club and the department of physical education organize the work of more than 20 sports sections at the university, in which more than 500 student athletes and 40 teachers and staff train.

The most developed sports in KATU are basketball, volleyball, arm wrestling, Kazakh kuresi, belt wrestling, boxing and mini football.

The teams of the university are multiple winners in the team standings in 17 sports of the traditional Spartakiad of students of higher educational institutions of the city of Nur-Sultan.

The women's basketball team is the winners of the IV, V - Summer Universiades of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, champions of the "Student League" in 2008, 2010, as part of the national team of the city of Nur-Sultan "Astana Zholbarystary": four-time champions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, three-time winners of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The men's basketball team is the winners of the III, IV, V - Summer Universiades of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the winners of the "Student League" 2004, 2006, 2008, participants in the World Universiade of Students (Thailand, 2007), as part of the national team of the city of Nur-Sultan "Astana Zholbarystary": six-time champions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, four-time winners of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winners of the Johnson Cup (Qatar).

In 2011, in New York City (USA), a student of the Faculty of Energy Adilbek Ashimov became the world champion in kettlebell lifting for the first time in the history of our university.

Our boxers: Merey Akshalov, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics in 2010, a participant in the XXIX- Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Bakytzhan Kozhabekov is a graduate of the technical faculty in 2011, a two-time champion of the Universiade of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an Asian champion in 2005, 2006. Daniyar Yeleusinov - student of the Faculty of Economics, silver medalist of the World Championship among youth (Guadalajara, Mexico, 2008), champion of the XVI - Summer Asian Games (Guangzhou, China, 2010), license holder of the XXX - Summer Olympic Games in London 2012 . Ilyas Suleimenov - student of the Faculty of Agronomy, champion of the VI - Summer Universiade of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, silver medalist of the Asian Championship (South Korea, 2011), license holder of the XXX - Summer Olympic Games in London 2012.

Our graduates: Marat Asainov, a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering and Education in 1999, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in arm wrestling, World and European champion. Karlygash Israilova is a graduate of the Faculty of Energy in 2004, an international master of sports in arm wrestling, a multiple champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a four-time champion of Asia, a bronze medalist of the World Championship.

The objectives of the club are the inculcation of the principles of a healthy lifestyle involved, the organization of the process of wrestling in the amateur and professional level, the preparation of the university team at the city and republican high level competitions. The athletes of the club became winners and prize-winners of the championships and the Universiade of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participants of the tournament “Kazakhstan Barysy”. The sports club on Sambo wrestling was formed in 2018 for a full-fledged class in wrestling of students and postgraduates of the university. The aims of the club are the inculcation of the principles of a healthy lifestyle involved, the organization of the process of wrestling in the amateur and professional level, the preparation of the university team at the city and republican high level competitions. Club athletes are participants of the championships and the Universiade of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Coach is teacher of the department of physical education, national judge on sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Atygaev Salim Nagizkhanovich.

The boxing sports club was formed in 2006 for full-fledged boxing for students and postgraduates of the university. The objectives of the club are to instill the principles of a healthy lifestyle involved, the organization of the boxing process in the amateur and professional level, the preparation of the university team at the city, republican and international high-level competitions. The combined team of the university is the winner of the VI Summer Universiade of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the team competition. Individual athletes became champions of the Olympic Games, World, Europe and Asia: Eleusinov D. is a champion of the Olympics in Rio, World and Asia, Asian Games, Akshalov M. is a champion of the World, participant of the Olympics in Beijing, Suleimenov I. is a champion of Asia, participant of the Olympics in London and Rio. Sports club on skiing is designed for full-fledged skiing activities for students and postgraduates of the university. The skiing club was founded in 2014 on the basis of the Saryarka sports complex. The aims of the club are the inculcation of the principles of a healthy lifestyle involved, the organization of the process of skiing at the amateur and professional level, the preparation of the university team at the city and republican high level competitions. The athletes of the club became multiple champions of the Games of the universities of Astana and participants of the Universiade of universities of the country. Coach is a teacher of the department of physical education Mustafin Beibit Zhanbyrshinovich.

The sports club on table tennis is intended for a full-fledged lesson in playing table tennis of students and undergraduates of the university. The club of table tennis is one of the first clubs based in the history of the university. The aims of the club are to instill the principles of a healthy lifestyle involved, the organization of the process of playing table tennis in the amateur and professional level, the preparation of the university team at the city and republican high level competitions. The aims of the club are the inculcation of the principles of a healthy lifestyle involved, the organization of the process of doing Weight Lifting at the amateur and professional level, the preparation of a team of the university at the city, republican and international high level competitions. The athletes of the club became repeated winners of the championships and the Universiade of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The armwrestling sports club was formed in 1992 for the full-time armwrestling class of students and postgraduates of the university. The aims of the club are to impart principles of a healthy lifestyle to those involved, to organize the process of armwrestling at an amateur and professional level, to prepare a national team of a university for city, republican and international high-level competitions. The combined team of the university is the winner of the V Winter Universiade of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the team competition. Individual athletes became champions of the World, Europe and Asia: Asainov M. is a multiple champion of the World and Europe, Israilova K. is a 6 times Asian champion, etc. The coach is a senior teacher of the department of physical education, master of sports of the USSR Abayldin Zanat Mukhametalgalievich.

The purpose and objectives of the sports club:

The sports club was created with the aim of widely attracting students and pedagogical workers of an educational institution to regular physical education and sports, the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the organization of active recreation, and an increase in the level of physical development.
