On June 1, 2024, the capital of Kazakhstan became the venue for a large-scale celebration of Europe Day. The grand festival EUROFEST2024, which coincided with Children's Day, was held with great success in Astana, bringing together thousands of residents and guests of the capital, students, and young children in an atmosphere of unity, diversity, and friendship.
European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski, EU ambassadors, diplomats, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nazira Nurbaeva welcomed the guests of EUROFEST 2024 on the big stage.
In his welcoming speech, European Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski emphasized: “EUROFEST2024 is an opportunity to celebrate our common interest and commitment to a strong and supportive EU-Kazakhstan relationship. This day symbolizes “Friendship, Culture and Cooperation”!
The rich festival program offered visitors many interesting events. Guests of the event learned about significant initiatives and programs implemented in Kazakhstan. Special stands were also presented that showcased a variety of EU-funded projects, highlighting their positive impact on Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
