On September 26, 2025, Z.A. Baimagambetova, Ph.D. (Econ.), senior lecturer at the Finance, Accounting, and Audit Department, organized a guest lecture for first-year students of the Business and Digital Technologies Institute. Zhanna Keshubai, Head of the Card Business Center at Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, and Rakhmetolla Yelaman, General Manager, were invited. The lecture featured real-life fraud cases and schemes, including phony calls, dropshipping, fake investments, fictitious stores, social media scams, and phishing links. Participants also discussed how to protect themselves and develop critical thinking.
The lecture attracted interest from both the students and the faculty in attendance.
