Seifullin University hosted the International scientific and Practical Conference "SEIFULLIN READINGS-19" and an exhibition of books and works dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Kazakh SSR, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, honorary citizen of Astana Moisei Aronovich Handelman.
At the beginning of the international conference, a presentation of a short video film «Land Management School of M.A. Handelman» was held.
The event was attended by Dyusenbekov Zairolla Dyusenbekovich, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expert on land cadastre and technical inspection of real estate; Papaskiri Timur Valikovich, Rector of the State University of Land Management, Russian Federation; Handelman Svetlana Moiseevna, daughter of Moses Aronovich Handelman and other guests of the conference.
Svetlana Moiseevna spoke to the staff of the faculty, students and undergraduates with warm memories of her father, Handelman Moisei Aronovich, who is the founder of the land management school in Kazakhstan, as well as one of the first scientists standing at the origins of the university's education since 1957, who worked for 20 years as the rector of the Central Research Institute (now S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical Research University).
The Conference continued with breakout sessions.
It was decided that the M.A. Handelman Auditorium (room 6223) will be opened at the Faculty of Land Resources Management Architecture and Design.
The memory of Handelman Moisei Aronovich is still alive today!
