Department of ‘Accounting and Finance’ Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin on 14 February 2025 at 12.00 hours for the students of the 3rd year of the Faculty of Economics invited the Director of Corporate Finance Department of JSC ‘NC “Kazatomprom” Zhunusova Asemgul Serikbaevna and the main expert of the department Sagitova Natalia Yurievna who held a problem lecture on ’Successful placement of shares - the key to prosperity of the company.
Asemgul Serikbaevna Zhunusova is a 1999 graduate of the Faculty of Economics, speciality ‘Accounting and Audit’, a highly qualified specialist with 25 years of work experience in the financial sphere, who started from the position of an accountant of the company to the director of the department.
The mission of NC Kazatomprom JSC, a public company, is to contribute to the global transition to clean energy through sustainable development, which is a world leader in the nuclear industry.
Asemgul Serikbayevna Zhunusova and Natalia Yurievna Sagitova at the lecture reviewed the experience of initial public offering of Kazatomprom JSC common shares on the stock exchange, shared the work done during the IPO and noted the importance of gaining knowledge and skills needed by future specialists in practice.
Within the framework of the topic, students asked questions about the strategy of NC Kazatomprom JSC, about the ways of acquiring common shares on the stock exchange in real practice, about dividend policy and received answers from highly qualified specialists. It was a useful meeting, which contributed to improving the financial literacy of young people.
