From 18 to 20 November 2024, a working meeting of experts and local coordinators of the EU Erasmus+ HWCA project “Strengthening Higher Education in the Water Sector for Climate Resilience and Security in Central Asia” was held at the Kazakh-German University in Almaty.
The meeting was attended by representatives of partner universities in Europe and Central Asia, including S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University (Boranbay Zh. T., Kazangapova N. B., Kitaibekova S. O.).
During the meeting, chaired by the expert Deroin Jean-Paul from University of Reims, Champagne-Ardenne (France), it was discussed the following issues: the progress of MA curriculum development / modernization in water diplomacy; the Concept and the
Implementation Plan of the Regional Program for continuous professional development and research in water governance and water diplomacy; it was a Meeting and consultations with stakeholders (government agencies, the academic community and representatives of the water sector (government, collective and private) on their needs and possible support to the Curricula and the Regional Program. Comments and needs formulated by stakeholders will be integrated into the documents of the Regional Program as well as it was discussed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation within the framework of the regional program between partner universities of the EU and Central Asia.
