Joint Kazakh-Chinese Laboratory for Biological Safety (JKCLBS)

The State Unitary Enterprise "Animal Husbandry and Biological Sciences" includes the Joint Kazakh-Chinese Laboratory for Biological Safety (JKCLBS) and the Kazakh-Czech International Scientific Center for Aquaculture (KCISA). These centers and laboratories provide practical training and dual education. Currently, university scientists are working on research projects at the laboratory, conducting doctoral and master's student research and theses, and conducting undergraduate practical training. JKCLBS was established as part of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Scientific and Technical Cooperation and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Xinjiang Agrarian University, and the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University.

This laboratory was created to study and diagnose infectious animal diseases. We have also successfully expanded our accreditation to include diagnostics of infectious avian diseases and the zootechnical analysis of feed and milk. The laboratory's safety and equipment allow us to work with pathogens that cause highly dangerous, transboundary animal diseases. The laboratory operates according to the BSL-2 safety standard. We also have a "Feed and Milk Quality Assessment Laboratory." We provide zootechnical analysis of milk and feed for farm animals. A distinctive feature of the laboratory is the use of wet chemistry methods using modern automated analyzers from FOSS Analytical (Denmark).

Kazakh-Czech International Scientific Center for Aquaculture (KCHMNCA).

Research work of the department "Technology of production and processing of livestock products"

The scientific direction of the department is the work on increasing the genetic potential of productivity, the development of technology for keeping, feeding, raising and reproduction in dairy cattle breeding based on the use of adapted resource-saving and digital technologies for various natural and climatic zones of Kazakhstan., the development and creation of scientifically based Smart farms using various solutions for each area of digitalization implementation under actual production tasks of the subjects of the agro-industrial complex.

The department includes the research platform "Production of livestock products", which consists of 2 modern laboratories "Laboratory of zootechnical analysis of feed and milk" and the laboratory "Poultry farming". It was created on the basis of the order of the Chairman of the Board of "S. Seifullin Kazakh agrotechnical university" JSC №864 dated December 29, 2017 by transforming and combining research programs of initiative, contractual and budget grants of various ministries and departments, carried out on the basis of " S. Seifullin KATU" JSC.

The Department of Technology of production and processing of livestock products carries out the following scientific programs and projects within the framework of the budget programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2023 and grant funding for 2024-2026.
