S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University and K.I. Skryabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University started their cooperation in 2010, when the first partnership work was launched in the project "Development of Environmental Education Programs" of the EU Tempus (now Erasmus+) program. In 2012 - 2014, partner universities worked on the project “Improving capacity to implement institutional quality assurance systems and typologies using the foundations of the Bologna process.” Currently, partner universities are implementing the “Water Diplomacy” project (05/01/2023-05/01/2026) of the EU Erasmus+ program. In addition, students of these universities annually take part in Summer Schools, which are organized on the basis of the educational, research and production complex of KATRU “Saryarka” in the city of Shchuchinsk, where professor of K. Skryabin KNAU Ormon Sultangaziev has repeatedly been a lecturer at these Summer Schools.
In order to develop cooperation, a delegation from KNAU, including the head of the Department of Plant Growing and Plant Protection of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Gulmira Bayalieva, teachers Dinara Chorobekova and Uultai Saparbek, has arrived to KATRU. To improve the quality of cooperation, the main issues were discussed: career guidance for foreign students to study at KATRU, evaluation of working curricula for all educational programs of the Faculty of Agronomy in order to enhance the mobility of students, and also, at the request of Kyrgyz colleagues, candidates from the Department of Agriculture and Plant Growing were presented for performance of the work of a foreign supervisor for postgraduate students of KNAU.
The fruitful work was completed with a cultural program: at the invitation of the KATRU Rector K. Tireuov colleagues from KNAU have visited the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
