On April 5, 2018 the working visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Rolf Mafael and Deputy Ambassador Mr. Jonathan WOn April 5, 2018 the working visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Rolf Mafael and Deputy Ambassador Mr. Jonathan Weinberg took place in the walls of JSC "S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University" (hereinafter - KATU).
The meeting of the delegation was held with the Chairman of the Board A.K. Kurishbayev and the director of ICandMEDC S. Meiramova.
Chairman of the Board A. Kurishbayev thanked the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Kazakhstan Mr. Rolf Mafael for the visit and briefly acquainted with the international activities of the university and the results of fruitful cooperation of KATU with universities and enterprises of Germany.
In addition, Akhylbek Kazhigulovich noted that during his visit to the International Green Week in Berlin an agreement was reached to hold the First Kazakh-German Agroforum on smart agriculture in Astana on the basis of KATU in May of current year.
At present, preparatory work for the first Kazakh-German forum has been started at KATU and the parties discussed the details to organize this event at a high level.
In addition, the parties noted that the holding of this agroforum will serve as a successful step in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany in the field of agrarian education and science.
In his turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Kazakhstan Mr. Rolf Mafael expressed gratitude and noted that the relationship between KATU and the German Embassy will continue to develop in the spirit of mutually beneficial cooperation and constructive dialogue.
