On April 10, 2018, the delegation of Kaukointernational and URUS international companies from Finland, which specialize in implementing projects in such areas as innovation, industry, energy, education and green technologies transfer, headed by Vice President of URUS Sakari Laitinen paid a follow-up visit to S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (hereinafter - KATU).

The meeting was held with KATU Vice-rector for science and innovation activity I. Tokbergenov. From the part of KATU, the director of the ICandMEDC  S.Meiramova, the deans and departments heads of energy, economy, technical,  computer systems and vocational education, veterinary science and livestock technology and  land management, architecture and design faculties take part in the meeting.

The purpose of the visit was a detailed discussion of further mutually beneficial cooperation between the organizations in the following areas:

- Education;

- Scientific research works;

- Forestry and water management;

- Digitalization of agriculture;

- Power engineering, etc.

In his welcoming speech, Vice-rector for science and innovation activity I.Tokbergenov briefly introduced the quests with the tasks of KATU on the digitization of agriculture for the agro-industrial complex and outlined the issues for a joint decision on green energy, precision farming, smart farms and artificial intelligence.

In turn, Mr. Sakary Laitinen briefly acquainted with URUS international activities and proposed specific solutions for cooperation with KATU.

At the end of the meeting, the Parties reached an agreement on signing a memorandum between the organizations, developing projects within the framework of Horizon-2020, R&D and NATD.

Moreover, Vice-president of URUS, Mr. Sakary Laitinen will assist in the development of the data collection architecture for KATU, the training of KATU staff  in the application of LORA technologies, including the technology transfer in the field of power engineering.
