The first working meeting on the EU Erasmus+ "UnWaste" project

On February 11, 2021, the first Kick-off meeting by the EU Erasmus project + 618715-EPP-1-2020-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP Un-Waste “Advancing circular economy in partner countries by development and implementation of Master programme   “Waste management" took place. The project is implemented at the Department of "Ecology" of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University. The project coordinator is Wismar University, Germany. The local coordinator of the project is G.K. Satybaldieyva, the Head of Ecology Department. The project partners are the University of Latvia (Latvia), Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Institute for Business Development Assistance of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia), St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia), Rostov State University of Economics (Russia), A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University and Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University.

Welcoming remarks at the meeting were made by Carlo Giuseppe, project officer of the European Commission, Gunnar Prause, project manager of the University of Wismar, project coordinator Anatoly Baifert and representatives of the National Erasmus+ Offices of  Kazakhstan and Russia. The goals, objectives of the project, analysis of the needs of the department, analysis of skills and concepts at different levels of education, possible synchronous and asynchronous components of existing relevant courses, analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the department, necessary for further decision-making on the structure of cooperation were considered at the meeting.
