The purpose of the educational program "Landscaping and gardening" - Preparation of the competitive expert ready for production activities in the system landscape design, operation and reconstruction of garden and parkland, capable of practical implementation of the acquired knowledge and further professional self-improvement and creative development.

Objectives of the educational program:

Formation of the basic professional competencies of future professionals;
The creation of prerequisites for self-exploration and research activities of students;
Ability to work with scientific and technical information, to use domestic and foreign experience in professional activities, organize and summarize the information.
The acquisition of theoretical knowledge and development of practical methods of landscape design, aimed at developing students' creative thinking to solve creative problems in the field of landscape design;
Creating a positive attitude towards people occupations agricultural areas and quick employment opportunities in the agricultural sector of agribusiness.

General characteristics of the education program

The educational program "Landscaping and gardening" is based on employers' request to meet growing demand for in-landscapers specialists who know how to organize and carry out work on the design, construction and operation of landscape architecture, renovation of green spaces and parks.

In order to solve problems landscaping and landscape design of cities and towns need to give students knowledge of landscape design as the foundation of the organization, preservation and restoration of modern and historic landscapes, while providing improvement and beautification of environment of human society.

The competitive advantages of the EP is highly qualified teaching staff with practical skills in the field of landscape architecture and landscaping, as well as teaching in a foreign language, and combine methods of domestic and international practice, training in computer classes, laboratories with the latest equipment and a forest nursery in the university campus.

Areas of professional activity

The sphere of professional activity of graduates of the educational program "Landscaping and gardening" are greening and beautification of residential areas, landscaping, cultivation of ornamental plants, commercial forestry. The objects of professional activity of graduates are: greening organizations, forest management and design businesses, forest and ornamental nurseries.

Professional competence to know and understand: morphology and biology of ornamental trees and shrubs, and flowering plants; methods and technology of growing planting material, methods of planting, greening afforestation; variety of contemporary styles and the laws of vegetable compositions; forming composite patterns object-space environment; concepts and technologies of implementation of practical work, understanding the specifics of the designer of the profile;

be able to: producing the selection of trees and shrubs and flowering plants, taking into account the natural zoning, growing conditions, decorative properties; competently convey three-dimensional shape of objects of reality from nature; use different types of memory styling on the proposal.

have the skills to: at organization, implementation and monitoring of works on gardening and landscaping; in the works for pest and disease nurseries, plantations and green spaces; work in basic and specialized computer programs; execution of works on designing, construction and operation of landscape architecture, renovation of green spaces and parks;
