On August 7, 2018, a meeting with a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany (BMEL) and the company GFA Group GmbH was held at S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (hereinafter - KATU), headed by Ms. Judith Kons, the Head of Department No. 625 "Eastern Europe , Central and East Asia ", BMEL., The delegation consisted of 7 people, Judith Kons - Head of Department No. 625 "Eastern Europe, Central and Eastern Asia", BMEL., Frank Rittner - Management Expert No. 624 "International Projects and Partnerships", BMEL., Diethard Rudert - head of the APD project, Andreas Gramcov - Doctor, BMEL General Representative for International Projects, GFA., Tilman Reinhardt - General Representative of BMEL for International Projects, GFA., Katrin Dalitz - Project Executive Director, Project Coordinator, IAK., Jörg Dinkelaker - new head of the APD project from August 1, 2018.

The purpose of the visit was to hold meetings with key partners of the APD project in the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss the possibilities of expanding cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan, including S.Seifullin KATU.

The meeting attended by the Chairman of the Board of KATU Kurishbayev A.K., Vice Chairman of the Board of KATU for Strategic Planning, Science and International Relations Mogilnyy S.V., Director of the ICMEDC Meiramova S.A., Dean of the Agronomy Faculty Stybaev G.Zh.

In his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the Board Kurishbaeyv A.K. thanked Ms. Judith Kons for the interest shown to the university and acquainted the guests with the activities of KATU, as well as the work carried out in partnership with the APD. He noted that in May, with the support of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany, the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Germany, the Embassy of Germany in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the project "German-Kazakhstani agrarian and political dialogue", the first joint German-Kazakhstan agricultural forum "Digitalization in agriculture " has organized.

In her turn, Ms. Judith Kons was grateful for the warm welcome and organization of this meeting, taking advantage of the opportunity, expressed her gratitude for the successful work not only with the APD, but also with the agricultural centers of Germany. She also talked about the upcoming annual international forum, which will open its doors 11 times for business partners in January 2019 as part of the “Green Week”. An international ministerial conference will also be held within the framework of this forum. The conference has an international status.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Diethard Rudert introduced the attendees to the new head of the APD project, Jorg Dinkelaker, whose appointment was approved by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany.
               Further, the delegation visited the scientific centers of KATU, in particular the scientific research institute "Research platform of agricultural biotechnology", metalworking and welding workshop, the Kazakhstan-German Precision Farming Center, the experimental production workshop for meat and dairy products.
            At the end of the meeting, the Parties reached an agreement on further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.
