Medical points

A medical center is a primary pre-medical institution that provides medical and sanitary assistance to students and staff.

The medical center is a structural subdivision of the university, guided by regulatory documents in accordance with the obtained license for medical activities:

• current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

• normative documents of the university;

• regulatory documents on the organization of medical care;

• University Charter and Internal Regulations.

To provide primary pre-hospital medical care to students and employees of “KATU named after S. Seifullin” there are medical centers that are equipped with all the necessary medical equipment and medicines.

Tasks and functions of the medical center.

The main task of the medical center is to provide primary medical pre-medical care to students and university staff, as well as to carry out sanitary and preventive measures.

In accordance with the goals and objectives, the medical center performs:

• emergency care, first aid for injuries, acute illnesses, poisoning;

• development and implementation of preventive and recreational activities;

• provides therapeutic assistance;

• maintains accounting and reporting medical records;

• promotes sanitary and hygienic knowledge and a healthy lifestyle.

• Refers patients to polyclinic specialists, and in emergency cases - referral to a hospital to provide qualified and specialized medical care;

• Carries out preventive medical examinations of students and employees in accordance with applicable regulations;

• Determination of temporary disability of students with exemption from classes until the end of the school day on the day of application;

• Carrying out preventive vaccination for students and university staff;

• Ensuring primary health care aimed at preventing and reducing general and infectious morbidity, disability;

• Control of patients with chronic diseases;

• Promoting a healthy lifestyle to university students.

• Organization and holding of activities for the formation of a healthy lifestyle;

• Prevention of socially significant diseases;

• Immunoprophylaxis;

• Sanitary and epidemiological surveillance.

The working hours of medical centers are established and agreed with the administration.

Medical centers provide assistance from 8.45 am to 5.45 pm, with a break for lunch from 13.00 to 14.00.
