As part of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of S. Seifullin KATU, an international scientific and practical conference "Science of the XXI century - the era of transformation" was held.
Plenary and sectional sessions were held today. The session of the section “Innovative solutions in scientific biology and protection of agricultural plants” was very interesting, science-intensive. The section was attended by scientists from leading Universities and scientific centers of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, specialists from the phytosanitary service of the country, the Astana Botanical Garden and other organizations, doctoral students, masters, undergraduate students.
An active discussion was caused by reports where the use of GIS technology and molecular biological methods for identifying pests in practice were considered.
The discussion was aroused by the issues of forecasting, identifying, developing a management strategy and modeling habitats for especially dangerous plant pests.
As a result of the presentation, the best reports were awarded with letters of appreciation. Scientists presented conclusions for the resolution and proposals for the exchange of experience, the format for popularizing knowledge on plant protection for students of universities, production associations and organizations involved in growing crops.
