On January 18, 2023, the volunteer organization “Komek”, as part of the campaign to help the shelter for homeless animals “We are different, but we are together!” visited the shelter located at Akkorgan, 5v. The shelter cares for 164 cats and 98 dogs.
During the event, a small collection was organized among students, 18,000 tenge (eighteen thousand tenge). The funds raised were used to purchase and deliver animal feed (rice, buckwheat, cat food).
Students became familiar with the condition and health of animals, and the work process of a shelter for homeless animals. They received information about how stray animals are accepted, what treatment measures are carried out, and what care is provided. We also learned what measures should be taken if stray animals are discovered in the future.
Zookeepers at the “I Am Alive” shelter for homeless animals thanked our volunteers and invited them to work together in the future.
