In the period from 04.12 to 09.12.2023, within the framework of the project IRN AP19680251 “Analysis of the problems of development of a circular economy in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan with the development of a model for using its capabilities in modern conditions” under the leadership of the project leader Ph.D., acting professor Nurmukhametov Nurbakhyt  and the executors of the project, the head of the Department of Economics, Ph.D., Associate Professor Akmaral Temirova, Ph.D., Acting as Professor of the Department of Economics Mukhambetova Zamira, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Economics Kunafina Gulzhan, Ph.D. of Economics, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics Saltanat Yusupova visited the Kazan State Agrarian University , Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian University of Cooperation.

The main purpose of the visit was to maintain mutually beneficial cooperation, carry out joint work in the agricultural sector and jointly implement specific tasks in the field of the circular economy.

During the visit, a number of working meetings and negotiations were held:

- agreements were reached on the joint organization of scientific and practical conferences and seminars, preparation of a monograph, scientific articles indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases based on scientific research, conducting courses and seminars, supervision of master's, PhD and doctoral dissertations.

Along with this, the stay program included the following points:

- Visit to the Center for Agroecological Research, which was created to provide qualified assistance to farmers in increasing competitive, high-quality agricultural products in the Russian and international markets through the introduction of innovative technologies;

- Visit to Agrobiotechnopark LLC, created to develop, test and replicate competitive technologies in agriculture and sustainable development of rural areas to increase the well-being and quality of life of the population, development and integration of domestic agribusiness into the world community;

- Visit to the Institute of Economics, Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Land Management, where the structure and main activities of the institutes were presented;

- Meeting with representatives of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the scientific, educational and innovative activities of the Academy were studied, visits to scientific laboratories and organizations working under the scientific and methodological guidance of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan;

- Study of the training project “Farmer School”, aimed at promoting additional education in the field of agriculture, gained experience in organizing and developing a plan for a professional retraining program;

- A round table was held on the topic: “Circular economy: practice and experience of Tatarstan and its adaptation for the Republic of Kazakhstan” with the participation of professors, university students and representatives of agricultural enterprises in Kazan, the main social and economic problems of implementing agri-food policy and ensuring sustainable development of rural areas were discussed.

As a result of the visit to Kazan, an agreement was reached on further cooperation and interaction of universities with Seifullin KATIU.
