Over 16,000 students, including representatives of over 40 different nationalities, study at the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University. 627 foreign citizens from 14 countries (China, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Georgia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Germany, and Kyrgyzstan) are studying under an intergovernmental agreement.
To foster friendly relations among students, develop Kazakhstani patriotism, enhance interethnic harmony and agreement, and strengthen the civic, spiritual, and cultural integrity of the people of Kazakhstan, the Dostyk and Birlik clubs, established at the Department of Youth Policy and Social Work and the Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute, organize numerous traditional events.
The purpose of these events is to promote friendly relations, unity, and tolerance among students and young people.
Members of the club and youth organizations traditionally hold evenings entitled "Language is the Key to Friendship," a roundtable discussion and photo exhibition on the theme "We are One Family!", a festival entitled "Our Unity is Harmonious!" dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, and culinary competitions entitled "One State, Many Nations, Different Cuisines."
