On April 24, 2026, an interuniversity academic olympiad titled “Economic Development, Financial Stability and State Audit” was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university.
The event brought together 2nd–3rd year students from the educational programs “Accounting, Audit and Tax Consulting” and “Financial Analytics.”
The olympiad program consisted of four stages:
- presentation of a team video on the topic “My Profession”;
- introduction of the team and institution;
- testing on core academic disciplines;
- solving a case study.
A total of five teams participated, representing:
- Karaganda University named after E.A. Buketov,
- Eurasian Humanities Institute named after A.K. Kussayinov,
- L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University,
- as well as two teams from S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University.
According to the final results:
- AUDIT VISION team won 2nd place (Mentors: G. Abdykerova, S. Ibraeva);
- AUDIT MASTERS team won 3rd place (Mentor: A. Kulekeshova).

On April 21, 2026, third-year students of the “Financial Analytics” educational program — Daniyar Kainullin, Kurman Seksimbaev, and Albina Serikovna — participated in the All-Russian Research Competition for Young Scientists and Students titled “Economics and Management: Current Issues and Ways to Solve Them,” held at Perm State National Research University (Perm, Russian Federation).
According to the results of the competition, our students demonstrated a high level of academic excellence and were awarded 1st place. The participants received first-degree diplomas.

On April 1, 2026, a large-scale event was organized at the Institute of Business and Digital Technologies as part of the “Student’s scientific clubs promotion” competition, aimed at developing students’ research, analytical and innovative activities.
4th-year students of the “Financial Analytics” educational program actively participated in this event and held a scientific club exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition was to attract junior students to the scientific environment and widely introduce the activities of scientific clubs.
During the exhibition, students presented their scientific projects, research results and practical work in the field of financial analysis. In addition, an interactive section was organized for participants, interesting questions, educational games were held, and photo/video shooting was conducted. Special prizes were awarded to active students.
The guests of the event not only got acquainted with the presented projects, but also had the opportunity to ask questions to students and exchange experiences. In addition, detailed information was provided about the conditions and benefits of joining a scientific club.
This exhibition will greatly contribute to increasing the scientific potential of students, developing their creative thinking skills and becoming professionals in the future. We hope that the organizers will continue such events in the future!


On March 30, 2026, the "Young Accountant" scientific club took part in the "Student's Scientific Clubs Promotion" competition, organized by the Institute of Business and Digital Technologies. The competition aims to develop students' research, analytical, and innovative activities.
During the event, the "Young Accountant" scientific club was presented, its participants' key scientific achievements were highlighted, and the club's long-term development plan was outlined.
The goal of the "Young Accountant" scientific club is to develop professional accounting skills and train qualified specialists ready for real-world practice.
Club members are first- to third-year students in the "Accounting, Audit, and Tax Consulting" educational program.

International XII Eurasian Student Olympiad – 2026
Minsk, Republic of Belarus
Fourth-year students from the Institute of Business and Digital Technologies at S.Seifullin Kazan State Technical University (KATIU)—team captain Rahim Aruzhan Zhanatkyzy, team members Zhamshibaeva Aidana Zhanatkyzy, and Zhanabergen Zhanar Abaykyzy—under the guidance of senior lecturer Gulden Yedylovna Zholdoyakova, formed the INSAGHT team and participated in the 12th Eurasian Student Olympiad in Analytical Economics and Forecasting. The Olympiad was organized by the Faculty of Economics of the Belarusian State University in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
Around 40 teams—approximately 150 students from higher education institutions across the EAEU—participated in the Olympiad's qualifying round. Seventeen teams from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Armenia advanced to the finals.
The final round of the XII Eurasian Student Olympiad in Analytical Economics and Forecasting, held by the Faculty of Economics at BSU, took place on March 2, 2026. The intellectual competition was part of the XII Eurasian Scientific and Practical Student Forum "Analytical Economics and Forecasting to 2030."
The Olympiad final consisted of two blocks of tests: The first block involved teams working on three analytical cases.
In the second block, teams had to present the results of the research conducted in the first correspondence round of the Olympiad and defend their findings in front of experts.
Following the results of the Olympiad, the INSAGHT team, representing the S. Seifullin KATIU, was awarded a diploma in the nomination "Best Analytical Hypothesis"
This Olympiad contributed to the development of analytical thinking in students, the acquisition of new skills, knowledge, and experience, and the strengthening of academic and scientific cooperation between the EAEU countries.
A roundtable discussion on "Artificial Intelligence in Business and Education" was held as part of the Olympiad. Scientists from the EAEU countries—the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Armenia, and the Russian Federation—participated in the scientific and practical event.


Regional Round of the International 1C:Enterprise Programming Olympiad Held at KazATU
On February 17, 2026, the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University hosted the regional round of the International Programming Olympiad on the 1C:Enterprise platform. This competition is an important educational event aimed at strengthening students’ professional training in the fields of information technology and business process automation.
Students of the 6B06102 “Business Informatics” program (2nd–3rd year) and master’s students of the 7M06102 “Computing Systems and Technologies” program participated in the Olympiad. Participants were given challenging tasks requiring deep programming knowledge, including dynamic programming techniques, as well as the ability to work efficiently with data in the 1C:Enterprise environment.
The main objectives of the Olympiad were: development of programming and logical thinking skills among students; strengthening practical competencies in working with the 1C:Enterprise platform; increasing interest in business process automation and software development.
The jury was chaired by Aset Merekeevich Abdygapparov, a representative of the 1C company (edu@1c.kz).
According to the results of the Olympiad, the winners were:
1st place - Damir Baltabayev,
2nd place - Aslan Akhmetzhan,
3rd place - Aruzhan Berikova.

Students enrolled in the educational programs "Accounting, auditing and tax Consulting" and "Financial Analytics" together with teachers take an active part in all events held at the faculty and at the university (public holidays, sports competitions, months for the prevention of offenses, drug addiction and religious extremism).
Meetings with managers and specialists of specialized organizations are organized for students with an invitation to give lectures and excursions. Students of the department are members of the debate club "Amanat" and sports sections organized by the university.
As a continuation and deepening of the educational process, the research work of students is organized at the department.
There are 2 student scientific circles at the department: "Young Accountant" and "Financial analyst".
The main goals and functions of the scientific circles "Young Accountant" and "Financial analyst":
1. Learning and Knowledge exchange: Creating an environment for students where they can study and exchange accounting and financial knowledge.
2. Professional development: Support students in developing professional skills and preparing for a future career in accounting and finance.
3. Socialization and networking: Helping students to establish contacts and network relationships with professionals and other students, which may be useful in the future.
4. Academic Support: Providing assistance and resources for more effective study of finance, accounting and related disciplines.
5. Popularization: Promotion of the importance of accounting and financial management in society and business.
In 2022, the team of Enactus KATU named after S.Seifullin took part in a special competition "Business in rural areas" organized by a large agricultural holding company Olzha Agro. According to the results of the qualifying round, the team got into the top five teams. In the period from April 27 to 28, the team made a presentation at the final "Lamb driver of sheep breeding" – Kulzhanova Tahmina and Streltsov Vladislav are members of the Enactus Seifullin University team.
In 2023, the team took part in the National Cup and won the special competition "Olzha Agro", taking the honorable 3rd place and a cash prize of 1,000,000 tenge.
On October 20, 2023, an Olympiad was held for students at the Republican level on the subject "Fundamentals of accounting" within the framework of the "Rukhani Zhangyru" program, organized by TARIM.KZ .
Students of the 07-045-21-09 group took part in the Olympiad and received the following diplomas: Bakibaev Miras Serikovich – diploma of the I degree, Streltsov Vladislav Vladimirovich – diploma of the II degree, Berikkhanov Beksultan Zhastilekuly – diploma of the III degree, under the guidance of the supervisor Tokenova Sandugash Meiramzhanovna.


On November 15, 2023, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the national currency – tenge, the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Faculty of Economics of KATI organized an intellectual team game "The Best Financier". In it, 3rd-year students of Kazakh and Russian groups formed 7 teams, during the competition they gave answers to a blitz survey, completed interesting tasks in a "White Box", played games among the audience, performed group work on each team on certain topics. During the competition, the students were very quick and resourceful, with great interest, showed their knowledge very well. The jury from the faculty's teaching staff evaluated the intellectual team game of 7 teams and awarded the following places: First place - the "Coin" team (group 07-045-21-09, team captain –Vladislav Streltsov), second place - the "Agrarvard" team (group 07-046-21-12, team captain – Zhursin Aibek), third place – the "Moonay" team" (group 07-046-21-13, team captain – Zhakyp Nurdaulet). The teams that won prizes were awarded diplomas and expensive gifts, and the teams that actively participated in the game – letters of thanks.


On November 06, 2023, the Interuniversity Intellectual Olympiad "Financier of the XXI century" was held with the participation of 3rd-year students of 4 higher educational institutions: K.A. Kusainov Eurasian Humanitarian Institute, L.N. Gumilev ENU, S.Seifullin KATSU and ESIL University. From our university, under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance, PhD Kasimbekova M. A., students of the 07-046-21-12 E group took part. Seidmukhanov, A. Zhumabek, E. Khabibulina, Sh. Tumenbayeva. By the decision of the jury, our students – the Agravard group took 1st place!
