The Department of Technological Machines and Equipment

 

The department of  "Technological machines and equipment" is a dynamic, constantly developing educational-industrial and scientific structure.

Study by the specialty 5B072400 - "Technological machines and equipment" is in two educational programs, "Agricultural machines and equipment" and "Engineering technological equipment" that allow you to develop the design of agricultural machinery and equipment in agricultural engineering with the use of computer-aided design; select and calculate the basic and auxiliary equipment based on energy-saving solutions and resource problems; validate the best practices for the organization of production; use of design and technological support and maintenance of existing production. The department has developed a new international, strong relationships with its scientific and industrial partners (US, Canada, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Turkey, Poland, Belarus, Russia).

The department has 19 doctors and candidates of sciences relevant qualification requirements.

A graduate of the specialty of "Technological machines and equipment" can apply the knowledge gained in the study and development of all disciplines of the educational program in the field of agricultural engineering. Analyze the causes of violations of technological processes in agricultural engineering and to develop measures to prevent them from obtaining quality measurements.
In 2013, the Department opened Master’s degree by specialty 6M072400 - "Technological machines and equipment" apprenticeship of 1.5 and 2 years. Currently, study is conducted in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.

From 2015-2016 academic year under the state program of industrialization of innovative development of Kazakhstan for the period of 2015 and 2020 at the Department 62 undergraduates majoring 6M072400 - "Technological machines and equipment" are studied.

The department operates the Kazakh-Belarusian training center, the Kazakh-China Center, with an enrollment of bachelors and masters on a specialty "Technological machines and equipment", other than that in specified centers lecturers of other specialties have trainings.

In 2016 the license to training doctors of PhD is obtained. During the 2015 year the department acquired the following new equipments: a contact welding, 5 semiautomatic welding machines, a shearing press, a bending machine, bandsaw machine, 4 "Tormach" milling machines with CNC, 3D printer and 3D scanner. There are: the ultrasonic hardness gage, a Altamimed 3D metalgraphic microscope, a special-purpose robot handler, a bench lathe with computer management in audiences.

In the department of "Technological machines and equipment"the laboratory of metalworking and welding was opened. The laboratory is designed to consolidate the theoretical knowledge of bachelors and masters obtaining practical skills for all types of metalworking lathes, milling, drilling, boring and band saws, benders and press-scissors, as well as for the implementation of science and technology in the field of metalworking and welding, increase technical the level and the development of new welding methods, materials and equipment.Most of the graduates of the department are working by profile: A. Braun - LP "Spare railway" Astana, the operator on the drilling-milling boring machine, advises CNCfor students during practice, Akylov E.M., NurmanovA.E.- JSC "Design Bureau of Agricultural Engineering", designers, Minbaev J. - Corporation "Kazakhmys", in 2013 he entered the for master’s degree by the specialty 6M72400 - "Technological machinery and equipment" in KATU S.Seifullin.

Students take an active part in international competitions and seminars: Eszhanov J.I. - Winner of the competition on the discipline of "Materials science and construction materials technology," BGATU, Republic of Belarus, 2014, Vyacheslav Daradur–contester of the International Olympiad in agricultural machinery, manufactured by enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, 2012, Abylaikhan Akylov - participant of the international Olympiad "Agricultural machinery and the Republic of Belarus production equipment ", 2014, Aralbay Kuanyshbek - participant of the workshop for middle and senior broadcasting authorities of the countries of Central Asia, the Ministry of commerce of China, 2012.

Department history

Department of "Technological machines and equipment" is a dynamically developing research and production community.

The department closely cooperates with scientific and industrial staff, and also develops these ties.

In July 1959, the Department of Metal Technology and Machine Repair was established, the first head of department of the Akmola Agricultural Institute, c.t.s. docentTimofeyG.Dukhov. In 1962, the department was divided into the departments "Metal Technology" and "Machine Repair".

Since 1962, the heads of the Department of Metal Technology were:

  • 1962–1963 - B.F.Berdnikov;
  • 1963–1969 and 1985–1991 - G.I. Gubsky;
  • 1969–1979 - c.t.s. L.M.Dimenshtein;
  • 1979–1985 and 1993–1995 - c.t.s.,professor M.G. Degtyarev;
  • 1991–1993 - c.t.s. V. A. Alexandrov;

the heads of the department "Repair of machines" were:

  • 1962–1976 - T.G. Dukhov;
  • 1964–1966 - S. V. Selyanko, V. A. Medvedev, and A. M. Muzychuk;

In October 1995, the Department of Metal Technology and Machine Repair were merged back into the Department of Metal Technology and Machine Repair.

In 2010, in connection with the opening of the specialty "Technological machines and equipment", the department was renamed into the department "Technological machines and equipment". In the period from February 2013 to January 2015, the head of the department was c.t.s., docentSeksenbaeva R.B. Since January 2015, the acting head of the department was d.t.s., docentTursynbaeva A.K.

From March 2015 to February 2016, the department was headed by d.t.s., professor O.K. Kanlybaev.

Since February 2016, the head of the Department of Technological Machines and Equipment - c.t.s.UserbaevMuratbekTurarbekovich.

From the moment the department was opened, a special contribution to the development was made by highly qualified specialists, teachers: V.V. Yurovsky, A.G. Demidenko, A.A. Razuvaev, N.V. Elchaninov, K.K. Abuov, A.D. Kim, A.M. Khan, A.P. Satanovsky, A.V. Ivanchenko, S.V. Rudy, J.N. Kadyrov, V.E. Shlyakhtich, V.V. Gaar, A.A. Bergazdenov, training masters G.M. Nelyubov, P.A. Bityakov, N.N. Postaganova, I.I. Monakhov, Yu.E. Krutko.

In 2013, a magistracy in the specialty 6M072400-Technological machines and equipment was opened (license No. 0062189, issued on April 30, 2013, which was updated on January 8, 2020, annex to license No. KZ18LAA00017628 in the direction of personnel training 7M071-Engineering and engineering). Since September 2013, admission to the master's degree program has been made on a competitive basis in multilingual groups.

Starting from 2015 to 2019, the department trained master students of the profile direction in the specialty 6M072400 "Technological machines and equipment" within the framework of the State program of industrial and innovative development for 2015-2019 (hereinafter - SPIID 2). The total number of trained specialists is 114 people: In 2017, 60 undergraduates graduated, in 2018, 24 undergraduates and in 2019, 30 undergraduates.

Teaching undergraduates was conducted according to the educational program developed jointly with the partner university of the University of California at Davis represented by professors Shrini K. Upadhyaya and Neal Van Alfen and partner enterprises of the SPIID - Stepnogorsk Bearing Plant JSC, Stepnogorsk, "Kazakhstan Agro Innovation Corporation" LLP, Kokshetau,"Spetstechnika" LLP, Aktobe,"Industrial Innovation Company"LLP, Astana,Yutaria ltd, Astana,"KazTechInnovations"LLP, Almaty,"KazInTeh-IRC"LLP, Astana, LED Solution LLP, Astana, Zapchast-ZhD LLP, Astana, KAZMEDPRIBOR holding LLP, Shymkent, PatentesTalgo S.L. LLP "Tulpar-Talgo", Astana.

On September 10, 2016, an annex to the license for engaging in educational activities of doctoral studies in the specialty 6D072400-Technological machines and equipment was received (on January 8, 2020, the application and license No. KZ18LAA00017628 were updated in the direction of training 8D071-Engineering and Engineering affair). This time, 6 people are studying in doctoral studies.

Since 2015, the department has been intensively equipping the material and technical base of the department: the Kazakh-Chinese center for agricultural mechanization, the Production and experimental workshop for metalworking and welding, the laboratories "Mechatronics" and "Applied Robotics" have been created.

On the basis of signed agreements on international cooperation in the field of education and science, in the period from 2015 to 2021, the staff of the department underwent advanced training and internship: Mendalieva S.I., Tulegenova A.S. (University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Trizdorf, Germany), KossatbekovaD.Sh., Galimova R.F. (UC Davis, USA). In December 2019, the head of the department Userbaev M.T. and teacher of the department Bolatova A.B. completed a scientific internship at the Krakow University of Science and Technology AGH-UST (Poland), gained knowledge and skills in the laboratories of Robotics and Mechatronics, Materials Science, etc.

The following foreign scientists lectured at the department - professors: Shrini K. Upadhyaya (UC Davis, USA), Peter Enders (Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany), Akulovich Leonid Mikhailovich, Sergeev Leonid Efimovich ( Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, Belarus), Dr. TemelSariyildiz (Kastamonu University, Turkey), Farah SaleenaTaip (Putra University, Malaysia), Jacek Ceslik, Marcin Kot (Stanislav Staszic Mining and Metallurgical Academy in Krakow, Poland), DimitarKaraivanov (Chemical-Technological and Metallurgical University, Bulgaria) etc.

In 2019, the educational programs of the department passed international specialized re-accreditation (OP 6V07104 Technological machines and equipment and 7M07106 Mechanical engineering (2 years) and primary accreditation (OP 6V07105 Mechanical engineering and 8D07105 Mechanical engineering).

International cooperation

3rd year students Bekmurzaev M. M.,Turabek A.M.,Shayakhmetov N.A., Khaziev A. S., Orazgaliev E. K., Zitleu A. T., full-time students of the educational program B064 Mechanics and metalworking at the expense of the program "LOGO e." V" from May 1, 2022 from October 30, 2022 He was sent to the city of Linen in the Federal Republic of Germany under the academic mobility program for agricultural practice.

In addition, 3rd-year students Isin T. B., Oryntaev A. B., Samatanov D. R., studying full-time under the educational program B064 Mechanics and metalworking at the expense of the program "AgrarKontakte" from May 10, 2022 to October 31, 2022 sent to the city of Linen of the Federal Republic of Germany under the academic mobility program for the passage of economic practices. This indicator allows our students to gain experience, improve their knowledge as future qualified specialists by exchanging experience with foreign countries.

The department invited a special professor from abroad to train students, future qualified specialists. Professor of the AGH University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, Department of Production Systems -Michal Bembenek, visited our department under the Erasmus Plus Partner Countries program in Krakow (Poland), met with the teaching staff, held lectures for students of our department and shared extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering.

The main purpose of the invitation is to exchange experience during lectures and practical classes for doctoral students, undergraduates and students of our department.

The main areas of work of the department "Technological machines and equipment" in the field of international cooperation:

- carrying out activities to expand and strengthen international contacts and cooperation, as well as intensify interaction with international and regional organizations, foreign universities, funds and programs;

- organization of mutual exchange of teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students in the development of contracts and projects of long-term cooperation programs with foreign partner universities;

- invitation of domestic and foreign scientists to give lectures, conduct master classes and organize research work.

The department is working to expand international cooperation with higher educational institutions of the near and far abroad, such as AGH Scientific and Technical University in Krakow (Poland), Chemical-Technological and Metallurgical University (Bulgaria), University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (Germany), University of California at Davis (UC Davis, USA), Humboldt University in Berlin (Germany), Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (Belarus), Kastamonu University (Turkey), Putra University (Malaysia), etc.

Since 2015, at the Department of Technological Machines and Equipment of the Technical Faculty, within the framework of the program "Attracting foreign scientists to universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the following foreign scientists have read lectures and conducted practical classes in the disciplines of bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies: Shrini K. From October 29 to November 9, 2018 at the Department of "Technological machines and equipment" of the Technical Faculty within the framework of the program "Attracting foreign scientists to universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan" gave lectures and conducted practical classes in the discipline "Automated diagnostics of technological machines" for 1st year undergraduates of the specialty 6M072400 - Technological machines and equipment in the discipline "Mechatronics and Robotics" for 1st year doctoral students of the specialty 6D072400 - Technological machines and equipment Professor of the Krakow University of Science and Technology AGH-UST (Poland) Jacek Cieslik.

In 2018, from November 24 to December 23, he lectured and held practical classes on the course "Problems of creating processing machines and equipment" for 1st year undergraduates and doctoral students and for bachelors 3, 4 courses of specialty 5B (6M / 6D) 072400 "Technological machines and equipment "Professor of the Chemical-Technological and Metallurgical University (Bulgaria) Karaivanov Dimitar Petkov. 

At the Department of Technological Machines and Equipment, the Kazakh-Belarusian Training and Production Center, the Kazakh-Chinese Center for Agricultural Mechanization operate, where bachelors, undergraduates and doctoral students study in the educational programs "Technological machines and equipment", "Mechanical Engineering", as well as in these centers teachers of other specialties are undergoing advanced training.

Students of the department "Technological machines and equipment" annually from 2012 to 2016 in July passed industrial practice at the plant of JSC "Gomselmash", Gomel, Belarus, participated in the assembly of grain harvesting equipment, visited the permanent exhibition of production equipment "Gomselmash" , and also got acquainted with the process of its production.

Student life

Students of the department take an active part in city and national events, including sports competitions. A student of the 19-09 group Koishybai Ulus took 3rd place at the AFGC Republican grappling tournament and 1st place at the Astana Open-2020 and Asia Open-2022 tournaments.

  

In order to improve the qualifications of our specialty, increase the involvement of students in modern technology and new technologies, the department annually holds an Olympiad in the discipline "Robotics". Such Olympiads are organized so that students can master modern technology and combine theoretical knowledge with practice.

  

In addition, the university annually hosts a traditional inter-faculty sports contest. In 2022, at the traditional inter-faculty Sports contest, our students took 2nd place in volleyball, a student of the 21-06 group Serik Doszhan and a student of the 21-08 group Masgut Alibek.

Students of the department of “TME” took an active part in city and republican events, participated in city and republican shows, in sports competitions held at the university and at the city level.

The best student works were presented at university and republican competitions of scientific works. According to the results of these competitions, many students who won prizes were encouraged with diplomas and valuable gifts.

The curators organized a meeting of students of the technical faculty with police major A. Kyybatkyzy on the topic “Synthetic drugs. Danger. ”

At the curatorial hours, the teachers of the department “TME” held thematic discussions on memorable dates (Constitution Day, Nauryz, etc.), as well as on topical issues of education and development of future specialists. Much attention was paid to the cultural and creative development of students. Curators with students regularly visited exhibitions, theaters and other cultural centers of the city. Students of the technical faculty (group 17-08) visited the museum of military equipment, all first-year students visited the museum. S.Seifullina, a meeting was organized with A. Zhakupova, a volunteer of the City of Good Hearts Foundation.

The curators of the groups try to instill in students a sense of responsibility for study, respect for the older generation, and respect for the house (hostel) in which they live. For this purpose, curatorial hours were held, such as “Student Honor Code”, “Ethics of Conduct in Society”, “Rules of Living in a Dormitory”, “Discussion of etiquette (appearance, manner of communication, behavior in public places), etc.

In order to improve civic-patriotic education, the curators of the groups conducted curatorial hours on the topics: “S.Seifullin’s birthday”, “S.Seifullin - a person with a high name”, “Conversations about state symbols”, “Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Youth policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan ”,“ Discussion of the annual Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan ”, etc.

The curators of the groups conducted the following curatorial hours to improve spiritual and moral education: “On non-traditional trends and extremism”, “Republic of Kazakhstan and the UN”, “Discussion of the Law on combating corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Consequences of nuclear tests for Kazakhstanis”, “Ecological regions Kazakhstan ”and others.

Students took an active part in international sports competitions: student of group 18-10 Sapargaliev A. participated in judo competitions, student of group 17-08 ZhonibekTemirlan participated in national and international kyokushinkai karate competitions.

 Main activities: 

  • creation of a qualitative experimental and production base for the study of disciplines of specialties of technical profile;
  • use of the results of scientific research in metalworking and welding when developing and creating the design of technological machines and equipment;
  • preparation and training of students, undergraduates and doctoral students on the latest achievements of scientific and technical progress in the field of metalworking and welding of agricultural and food machinery. 

Goal and tasks 

The main goal is to create conditions for the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of agricultural engineering, the introduction of advanced teaching methods in the educational process using modern technologies of welding production and metalworking, and the development of scientific research. 

Maintasks: 

  1. training of students, undergraduates and doctoral students through their preparation in accordance with scientific and technical forecasts, state plans and programs, to solve the main scientific and technical problems aimed at improving the technical and economic level of production and quality of products in agricultural and food machinery;
  2. provision of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel based on the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress in metalworking and welding;
  3. the implementation of their own and joint research with other organizations, R&D, contractual projects with the development and creation of fundamentally new equipment, technologies and materials;
  4. use of the results of scientific research in the educational process, attraction of students, undergraduates and doctoral students to R&D, formation and development of scientific schools;
  5. development of scientific and production activities to meet the needs of the republic in small-scale (low-tonnage), software products and services;
  6. assistance in creating a qualitatively new experimental and production base of the education system;
  7. expansion of cooperation with educational institutions of Kazakhstan and foreign countries. 

   Projects: 

  • Develop software and technical means for monitoring and controlling the automated process of differentiated application of seeds and fertilizers in the adopted positioning system. (head - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.O. Nukeshev) - for the amount of 9000000 tenge per year (2012-2014).
  • Development of a seeder for sowing grain seeds with the simultaneous introduction of mineral fertilizers with a moisture-saving technology of cultivation of agricultural crops. (the head is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.A. Aduov) - for the amount of 5 000 000 tenge in year. (2012-2014).
  • Development and implementation of innovative technology for plasma treatment and hardening of the most loaded parts of machines and machine components. (head - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.T. Kanaev) - for the amount of 5 000 000 tenge per year (2012-2014).
  • Development of a new technology and a technical tool for intrasoil differentiated three-layer application of mineral fertilizers (headed by Dr. S.O. Nukeshev) - for the amount of 20 000 000 tenge per year (2015-2017).
  • Development of a seeder with combined coulters (the head is Dr. M.A.Aduov) - for the amount of 11 000 000 tenge. per year (2015-2017).
  • Development of innovative technology and equipment for organizing the production of new thermo-hardened materials, in demand by the construction industry of the country (head - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.T. Kanaev) - for the amount of 5 000 000 tenge per year (2015-2017).
  • Stubbleseed-fertilizerseeder with separate entering of seeds and fertilizers (the head –d.t.s, professor M.A. Aduov) - for the sum 5 500 000 tenge in year. (2015-2017).
  • Development of an automated grain-tilling seeder for differentiated direct seeding of crops under cover crops and in sod with simultaneous application of mineral fertilizers (supervisor - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.O. Nukeshev) - for the amount of 10 000 000 tenge per year (2018-2020).
  • Development of a seeder with an intelligent control unit for the technological process of sowing non-friable seeds of grasses (headed by Prof. M.A. Aduov) - for the amount of 10,000,000 tons in year. (2018-2020).

Researchgoal: 

 

- analysis and study of the use of HARDOX steel in the manufacture of technological machines and equipment in the conditions of domestic and foreign production;

- research of manufacturing technology of HARDOX steel parts in the conditions of domestic and foreign production;

- development of technology for processing HARDOX steel parts based on thermal friction cutting;

- development of tools and technological equipment for the implementation of the HARDOX steel parts processing technology based on thermal friction cutting;

- experimental study of the developed technology for processing HARDOX steel parts based on thermal friction cutting;

- development of recommendations for production and implementation of results.
