International cooperation is a vital component of the department's activities. It demonstrates the work of the department and sets the standards of world leaders in the study of advanced trends and new knowledge, without which it is impossible to imagine modern education.
The main directions of work of the Department of "Technological Machines and Equipment" in the sphere of international cooperation:
- implementation of activities to expand and strengthen international contacts and cooperation, as well as activation of interaction with international and regional organizations, foreign universities, funds and programs;
- organization of mutual exchange of teachers and students in the development of agreements and projects of long-term cooperation programs with foreign partner universities;
- inviting domestic and foreign scientists to give lectures, conduct master classes and organize research works.
At the department of "Technological Machines and Equipment" functions Kazakhstan-Belarusian training and production center, Kazakhstan-Chinese center of agricultural mechanization, where bachelors, masters and doctoral students are trained on educational programs "Technological Machines and Equipment", "Mechanical Engineering", as well as in these centers undergo advanced training of teachers of other specialties.
Within the framework of the academic mobility program, every year students of 3-4 years of the department pass 6-7 months of agricultural practice under the programs "LOGO e.V", "AgrarKontakte" and "DEULA-Nienburg" in Germany Linen. Thus, in 2022, 9 students, including 3 students under the program "AgrarKontakte" and 6 students under the program "LOGO e.V" were interned. In 2023, 19 students, including 7 students from the "LOGO e.V" program and 12 students from the "DEULA-Nienburg" program, completed their internship. The students, during the foreign internship, consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice, working with agricultural machinery and equipment, gain experience and improve their knowledge.
Also, in the framework of the Memorandum on mutual cooperation in the provision of educational services in the framework of academic mobility programs between NAO "Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seyfullin" and Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (Republic of Belarus), from 2012 to 2020, students of the department 2 and 3 courses annually passed semester training in BGATU and industrial practice at the plant OJSC "Gomselmash", Gomel, Belarus.
Since 2009, Kazakhstan has been implementing the program "Attracting foreign scientists to Kazakhstani universities". It is aimed at internationalization of education, stimulation of active implementation of the Bologna Process principles, increasing the competitiveness of the university, formation of an attractive image of the university in the society, and also promotes the development of academic communication skills of students and teachers.
Within the framework of this program "Attraction of foreign scientists to Kazakhstani universities" the department annually invites scientists from leading universities to give lectures, consultations and seminars, as well as to be scientific supervisors of doctoral students. Invitation of scientists from abroad allows to develop competencies of students through new knowledge and methods of teaching from the position of international approach to the educational process. Also, the involvement of specialists is carried out for the purpose of professional development of the teaching staff of the department, to provide advice on various academic and scientific issues.
Invited professors - Shrini K. Upadhyaya (UC Davis, USA), Peter Enders (Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany), Akulovich Leonid Mikhailovich, Sergeyev Leonid Efimovich (Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, Belarus), Drs. He gave practical classes, lectures for students, masters and doctoral students of our faculty. He advised master's and doctoral students on theses and dissertations, shared with the faculty the peculiarities of publishing scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases.
Educational work with students of the department is an integral part of high-quality training of specialists and is carried out with the aim of developing an active civic position in students, preserving and enhancing moral, cultural and scientific values in the conditions of modern life, developing constructive behavior in the job market, as well as maintaining the traditions of the university and department. In order to attain previously set goals, the following is being committed to:
■ conditions are created for effective interaction between all participants in the educational process (joint events are held for students and curators of academic groups);
■ conditions are created for the formation of a positive attitude of students towards themselves and the world around them (trainings, quizzes, round tables are held aimed at understanding the inner world of students);
■ junior students successfully adapt to the educational process;
■ gifted students are identified and supported in every possible way (work is organized according to the university’s research and development work plan);
■ the adaptation level of students to the modern job market requirements is increasing;
■ activities are carried out aimed at preventing and overcoming deviations in the social development of students (active inclusion of students in extracurricular activities);
■ favorable conditions are created for living and independent work in student dormitories (visits to academic groups by curators according to the approved schedule).
The main work focus of curators with academic groups are consultations on all educational issues during curatorial hours. Curators organize excursions, festive evenings, individual work with students, assure participation of young people in events held at the university, within the city and region.
Students also receive individual support and advice from the advisor when choosing an individual learning path, putting together specific disciplines and on general issues during the educational process. In order to improve the qualifications of our specialty, increase the involvement of students in modern technology and new technologies, the department holds an Olympiad in the “Robotics” discipline annually. Such Olympiads are organized so that students can master modern technology and combine theoretical knowledge with practice. The best works of our students were submitted to university and republican scientific competitions. Based on the results of these competitions, many students who took prizes were rewarded with certificates and valuable gifts.
